Salzburg 1493 Historical Map
9 1/2" x 20 1/2". From Hartman Schedel's "Liber Cronicarum" - also known as the Nuremberg Chronicle - this view shows the city in a basin on both sides of the Salzach River. Salzburg began as a Celtic settlement and later became a noted Roman town. Evident in the town is the Romanesque cathedral, while overlooking it is the Benedictine Abbey and the great fortress of Hohensalzburg. Black & White, Cover-stock Paper.
